INTERVIEW: UNBOXED LIVE - Casa 1910 Cigars
Ready for the Mexican Cigar Revolution? (feat. Casa 1910) | Unboxed Live
There’s a resurgence in Mexican cigars and a trend of pairing cigars with premium tequila. Get the scoop from Sisters In Smoke Founder, Ben Wills, who was in Mexico for the debut of Casa 1910’s premium cigar, Cuchillo Parado. Although Mexican tobacco has been used to make cigars for years, Mexican cigars have had a bad rap. Casa 1910 is changing the reputation of smokes from south of the border. Ben is joined by the new cigar brand’s blender, Manolo Santiago, and its managing director, Serge Bollag.
Their inaugural Mexican cigar is a blend of four San Andrés Negro tobaccos, which were aged in bales for at least five years. The puro is wrapped in aged Mexican Sumatra. The Cuchillo Parado cigar is named for the town where the first battle of the Mexican Revolution began on November 14, 1910.
